The State Archives has developed the following tools to help state agencies navigate the Functional Schedule for North Carolina State Agencies and implement successful, sustainable records management programs.
Outer Banks History Center Reopening
The OBHC will reopen on Monday, August 11, 2025.
Western Regional Archives Update
WRA is open on a normal schedule: Monday - Friday, 9 AM - 2 PM.
Onsite Visitor Update for State Archives in Raleigh
The HVAC for the Library and Archives Building is being worked on. Until that work is completed, the temperature in the Search Room may be warmer than normal.
Downtown Construction
Due to construction in downtown Raleigh on E. Jones St. there may be road and sidewalk closures, and air horns and vibrations from blasting. More info https://www.doa.nc.gov
