Organization Records The Organization Records group consists of the records of many of the state's private, professional, or civic organizations judged to be relevant to the history of the state. Some of these organizations are defunct, while others are currently active. Like Private Collections, the acquisition and maintenance of organization holdings are authorized by statutory law and by the North Carolina Administrative Code. Researchers who come to the Archives to use the Organization Records are given full assistance in the Search Room by the Public Services staff. As with all public and private documents housed in the Archives, Organization Records must be used in the Search Room. Researchers planning a Saturday visit, however, should call ahead to Public Services. Finding aids for some organization records are available online and some information concerning organization records can also be found via the online catalog.
