OBHC Collection Development Policy

The Collection Development Policy governs the acceptance of new materials for the Outer Banks History Center’s holdings. All new acquisitions must adhere to this policy. The document describes the OBHC’s purpose, programs supported by the collections, clientele, collecting priorities, subject areas collected, procedures effecting the policy, and deaccessioning procedures.
