Historians will discuss exciting new research about the Regulator Movement in North Carolina during an upcoming program presented by the State Archives. The virtual roundtable, “The Regulator Movement and New Research,” will be held Tuesday, May 24, 12 – 1 p.m.

The State Archives of NC will be closed January 21-22 due to inclement weather. If you need assistance during this time, reference services are still available by email. For research or other questions, please contact us at archives@ncdcr.gov.

To help limit the spread of COVID-19 in our communities, the State Archives of NC in Raleigh, Outer Banks History Center (OBHC) in Manteo, and Western Regional Archives (WRA) in Asheville will be closed from Jan. 4-15. All three locations will reopen to the public on Jan.

Due to more personnel working onsite, State Archives public research spaces in Raleigh, the Western Regional Archives in Asheville and the Outer Banks History Center are expanding its hours of operations.
