The State Archives of North Carolina will host a virtual roundtable, “Outlander Fact vs. Fiction,” Tuesday, April 19, 7-8:30 p.m.
The setting for the popular novel and television series, Outlander, moves across centuries and continents, but plays out during seasons 4-6 in 18th-century North Carolina. Get ready for the season 6 finale by exploring documents and historic sites connected to the fictional world of time-traveling Jamie and Claire Fraser. The State Archives’ collection, along with histories of Tryon Palace in New Bern and Alamance Battleground near Burlington, will reveal truths underlying the drama.
Panelists will include: Alison Thurman, Correspondence Archivist; Josh Hager, Records Management Analyst; Lindy Cummings, Tryon Palace Historian; and Jeremiah Degennaro, Alamance Battleground Site Manager.
