The General Assembly Session Records are among the richest collections at the State Archives of North Carolina. Spanning more than three hundred years, these records contain fascinating stories from county formation to manumission to divorce and adoption. While full of important history, the changing nature of the General Assembly and age of these records can make them difficult to research. In this webinar, Digital Archivist Lauren McCoy will cover what you can expect from these records and how best to navigate them using available resources in the North Carolina Digital Collections.
