Secretary's Letter Books (copies)

Letters received (contemporary copies) from missionaries, would-be missionaries, potential supporters of the Society, and those requiring its assistance (e.g., in books or cash). Letters concern personal and civil affairs (the latter mainly from governors and lieutenant- governors); work among blacks and Indians, including the education of Indian children; the building of churches; crops, etc. There are also offers of legacies, letters of complaint, requests for ministers, and letters of introduction.

Papers of Dr. Bray's Associates (copies)

Letters, accounts and booklists relating to the establishment of clerical libraries and schools for blacks in the American colonies by the trustees of a fund begun in 1695 by Dr. Thomas Bray.

'C' Manuscripts (microfilm)

Unbound correspondence, mostly pre-Revolution, from and to missionaries in the American colonies: treatises on the state of the church in various colonies; certificates, testimonials, petitions; papers relating to schools; accounts, bills of exchange, receipts, and grants of salaries.

Journals of the Monthly Meeting of the Society (microfilm)

A record of proceedings at the monthly meetings of the Society. These volumes record the discussions and resolutions concerning such matters as the appointment of missionaries to work in the plantations, their work there, and payments to them.
