Oates, Claudeous (Claudius) and Sudie (Murry), Photograph Collection, ca. 1900-1920

The 55 photographs in this collection contain views of landmark houses, buildings, and streets in Clinton, NC in the early 20th century. The collection also contains scenes of WWI soldiers, former slaves of the Oates family, group portraits of men and women in Clinton, NC, Church dinners, picnics, and portraits of infants. There are several photographs which depict the interiors of railroad ticket offices of the Atlantic Coast Line and the Southern Railway.
