British Records: National Maritime Museum

The National Maritime Museum is a repository for records relating to the naval and maritime history of Great Britain and the colonies. Its holdings include archives of governmental and other bodies, as well as a large number of private manuscript collections.

Navy Board, Lieutenants' Logs (microfilm)

The series ADM/L is  comprised of log books kept by lieutenants of naval vessels, both at sea and in port. Information includes details on weather, manning, shipboard discipline, provisioning, trade, repair and refitting, entertainment of guests, and engagements with the enemy.
