Or print out a copy of the request form (Word version or PDF version), fill it out and either mail it or fax it to:

All requests are processed in the order that they are received regardless of how the request was placed (fax, email, regular mail). North Carolina residents are requested NOT to send any estimated costs of copying with their initial request. ESTIMATED PAYMENTS MUST BE RETURNED, thus delaying a reply to the researcher's inquiry.

An invoice will be generated in response to your inquiry. The invoice may include a citation for the material requested and a quote for copying costs (if no record is found the invoice will state that instead). If the invoiced material is desired please return the invoice and remit payment to the "North Carolina Department of Cultural Resources."

Researchers are requested NOT to add any estimated costs to the quoted amount. ESTIMATED PAYMENTS MUST BE RETURNED, thus delaying the return of the requested copies.

You may also pay copying costs through the Online Correspondence portal. You will need an invoice number and an amount to complete the transaction.
